USW: Early Modern Magick
Gasparo di Mercurio
A former court astrologer for the de’ Medici family, Gasparo fell out of favor when he failed to predict the death of Grand Duke of Tuscany Ferdinando I de’ Medici’s son Filippino. Wandering around Europe telling fortunes for pocket change, he was contacted by an old acquaintance, an alchemist named Cassius Adamoli, to meet him in Würzburg.
Shortly after returning to 1611, he died of the plague. So it goes.
